Apollo Launches Agents: Find More Buyers, Build Better Sequences, Improve What’s Working, All Without Asking

GTM systems should get smarter over time, learning what works for your business and proactively finding ways to improve. Apollo CPO Mark Sieglock explains how Apollo is building that system, and bringing recommendations directly to you via Slack.

Summarize this post

Before joining Apollo, I spent 11 years building eero, taking the company from pre-product through an acquisition by Amazon and into tens of millions of customer homes.

Since Day 1, eero’s mission was to build the perfect connectivity experience and we started by solving two acute customer pain points: coverage and simple setup. We relentlessly focused on building an automated system that users could quickly set up once and trust to improve over time.

While the go-to-market space is completely different, the problems we are solving for customers are surprisingly similar. Just like customers of eero should never need to know what an IP address is or how to manually configure channels or transmit powers, customers of Apollo shouldn’t have to worry about setting up email deliverability or configuring the most optimized  sequence. The Apollo system needs to solve these problems for customers by helping them find the right leads as well as build and optimize sequences.

That's the problem we’re solving with our three new agents, which are live inside the new Apollo Slack app.

A self-improving system

With most AI apps in Slack, you ask it something, it answers once, and it's done until you ask again. While that might be fine for one-off questions, it's not enough to scale your outbound program.

We wanted Slack to become a place where Apollo proactively improves your go-to-market motion over time. That's what these agents do.

Each one runs a job for you on its own, on a repeating basis, and gets sharper at that job over time. They work in the background, without being prompted, and then proactively offer specific recommendations in Slack, ready for you to approve or reject.

The three agents

Starting today, three of these agents are live in Slack. All three run on an engine that's been learning your business from Apollo’s Context Center, your CRM data, and what's actually worked in your outbound so far. The agents digest this information then provide tailored recommendations to improve your outbound.

Here’s how they work:

  1. Lead Discovery surfaces leads that match your ideal customer profile, explains why the audience is worth taking action on, and lets you add them to a sequence or list
  2. Sequence Creation proposes full sequences that are highly relevant and personalized, equipped with audiences, sequence strategies, and copy
  3. Sequence Optimization monitors active sequences for opens, replies, bounces, and spam signals, then surfaces opportunities to improve performance

Transform your GTM with AI agents.

"I have the Sequence Optimization agent scheduled to run automatically via Apollo's Slack integration. After applying its recommendations, my reply rates went from 0.9% to 4.8% and my open rates from 5.2% to 11%. The Sequence Optimization agent handles the fine-tuning I'd never get around to doing manually on my own."

- Rushpal Singh, Senior Account Executive @ Holmes AI

You don't need to pick one agent or spend hours learning how to configure them. Instead, Apollo knows whether your priority is finding new prospects, launching new sequences, or sharpening the ones that are already live… and then turns on the agent that fits.

When an agent has a recommendation for you, it shows up as a DM in Slack. All you need to do is press "approve" in the thread and the agent will run then report back with results. By design, every agent requires that approval today as we want to earn your trust before we take the human out of the process entirely in future iterations.

These agents continuously learn from performance and the context of your business to make each recommendation more relevant than the last; no more static configurations. For example, the Sequence Optimization agent checks whether its last suggestion actually moved your numbers before proposing the next one. And the Sequence Creation agent always starts from your Context Center, so it keeps up with changes to your business and never repeats an idea you've already seen.

What we hope you do

Apollo shows up where you work, constantly seeking to improve your outbound. Install Apollo's new Slack app, give it a try, and let us know what you think. The app is available on every plan while the three agents are live for Pro and Org teams.
