Glorissa-Global Odisha (Orissa) was started in order to showcase the handlooms and handicrafts of Odisha globally.Glorissa is an online platform of its parent firm Joynarayans.It was encapsulated in the year 2014 but became fully functional in the year 2020.This brand was started by Sonali and Rajeet who realized the dearth in representation of local artforms of Odisha.Both Sonali and Rajeet did B.Tech and worked in different fields to gain experience.Sonali an ex employee of Infosys and TCS followed her passion and did Fashion Designing.She decided to modernize the beautiful artform of Filigree, she also utlized her skills to reinvent ikats by introducing modern motifs, encouraging weavers to deviate from traditional color palettes, introducing zari with ikat to name a few.With each day this duo is trying to bring the world closer to our Glorious Odisha through Glorissa.
