Energy, as we all know is one of the major drivers of a growing economy like India. At the same time, its many facets - including implications of energy usages - present a complex collage. Thus, to establish an understanding of the sector, wide dissemination of appropriate knowledge and analyses about energy and energy applications becomes important. We realized that a lot of developmental activities are being carried out in India in the energy sector, but there is largely a lack of assimilation of such diffused activities - in terms of a synthesis of best practices as well as in terms of a consolidation of databases and knowledge. Energy Review fulfils the need for sharing of information, and resources on a continued basis in a structured manner to enable easy access to information and applications. The Portal was founded in May 2012 and has grown into a real online beacon, a trusted environment accessible to anyone with an interest in energy.
