NEOM is a large-scale development project in northwest Saudi Arabia, launched in 2017 by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Covering 26,500 km² along the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba, NEOM aims to redefine livability, sustainability, and economic diversification. It is fully owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and operates as a closed joint-stock company.The project is structured around four primary regions: THE LINE, a 170 km linear city designed for walkability and zero carbon emissions; Oxagon, a floating industrial hub focused on advanced manufacturing and renewable energy; Trojena, a mountain tourism destination with outdoor sports and wellness facilities; and Sindalah, a luxury island resort for high-end tourism. NEOM emphasizes renewable energy generation, smart infrastructure, and innovative research partnerships, aiming to attract global investors and skilled professionals while promoting sustainability and social impact initiatives.
