Our road to success started in 2010 with a collaboration between Woody Weigandt (former President of Accuride Canada) and William Pierce (former co-owner of Neway Anchorlock International and co-founder of PRP® Industries Inc. with over 70 US and international patents in his name that provided innovation to the transportation industry).With over 100 years of combined experience in the heavy truck and trailer market, it was clear to us the industry needed a premium, maintenance-free wheel that would outperform both aluminum and steel wheels. A PROVEN WHEEL SOLUTIONThrough an extensive eight-year year joint field evaluation program starting in 2011 with three national fleets including Pepsi/Frito Lay, and Sysco, we were able to solve the steel wheel corrosion problem facing many of the fleets today. The original wheel utilizing PRP's CORSOL® corrosion solutions technology was released at the Baltimore Tow show in 2013 and was the first commercial steel wheel to come with a 10-year corrosion warranty. Frito Lay began purchasing new trailers through Hyundai Translead, Great Dane, and Kentucky Trailers with new A2G® wheels installed.Continuing to innovate, in 2014, the A2G® team developed a new and improved wheel utilizing PRP's CORSOL® corrosion solutions technology, aluminum, and proprietary resins. With over four years of exceptional field performance, this new wheel was introduced to the market in 2018, and a US Patent was issued in 2019. Today the A2G® Premium Performance Platinum Wheel is the only maintenance-free commercial wheel in the market with an eight-year proven track record.
