In 2008, there was an initiative form the ASEAN China Young Entrepreneurs Forum to represent Young Entrepreneurs Organization. Due to this, under the guidance and support of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Group was formed in November 2009.The Group participated actively in local and regional entrepreneurship development events and grew rapidly. In June 29, 2012, the Group was upgraded and became the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association. The association is one of the founding members of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council and it was recognized by the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar as the Lead Association that will represent Myanmar in the Council. This cemented the association not only as a local but regional player in the entrepreneurship development space.The main objective of the association is to empower young entrepreneurs and assist in creating a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem in Myanmar. As of today, MYEA has organized and participated in numerous events and activities with a variety of organisations both locally as well as internationally. ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council -  (AYEC) is the official voice of young entrepreneurs in the ASEAN policy-making process. It was successfully proposed by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) to the ASEAN Leaders in 2015 and later that year launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It consists of a network of government endorsed young entrepreneur associations from all 10 ASEAN Member States. Besides participation in the ASEAN Economic Integration process, AYEC also serves as a young entrepreneurs network, with direct connectivity with the respective national level associations and the ASEAN Secretariat. AYEC is also provided a seat in the ASEAN-BAC Joint Business Council (JBCs), where proposals on young entrepreneurship is officially tabled to the mandated private sector representatives. Under the AYEC is it inaugural event the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival which moves around ASEAN every year following the calendar. The ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival or AYECarnival is an inaugural event under AYEC that provides a platform to promote connectivity between young entrepreneurs in contributing to the intended single market. Under one roof all ASEAN entrepreneurs can come together to galvanize continuous support for innovation, creativity, inclusion and competitiveness in regional entrepreneurship. We hope through our AYECarnival to grow from strength to strength towards the development of a conducive and vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region, that began with the 1st AYECarnival held in Malaysia. 2nd AYECarnival was held in Manila, Philippines. 3rd AYECarnival was held in Singapore and most recent 4th was held in Bangkok, Thailand. With our 5th AYECarnival coming up in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam as the 2020 ASEAN Chair.
