Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Alumni Association (WPEVCAA) is an exclusive and growing network of alumni who are leaders in private equity and venture capital investing around the globe. Founded in 1998, WPEVCAA represents the interests of those 4,000 Wharton and UPenn alumni. Our mission is to provide members with unique opportunities to exchange ideas and knowledge in a peer-only setting, to learn from industry experts and leading researchers, to enhance Wharton's standing in the private investor community, and to support the constructive engagement of alumni members with the school. WPEVCAA has chapters in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco/Bay area, as well as a growing overseas presence with chapters in Paris, Israel, London and Pan Asia. Membership is limited to alumni who are investing equity capital in venture stage companies, growth equity, buyouts, real estate, take-privates, or secondaries from a dedicated firm, family office, institutional limited partners, or professionals who manage third party fund-of-funds targeting the private equity and venture capital space. Mezzanine debt/private debt and angel investors who invest actively in private companies may also qualify.
