In 2016, James set out to demonstrate his love of style and design by creating his own line of quality hats that would serve as a modern symbol of the cornerstone of his heritage: Family, Unity, and Love. The result was a stylish and chic fedora, mixing classic lines and silhouettes with modern materials and colors. After years of selling hats from the trunk of his car, and while completing college, James moved to Atlanta in an attempt to leverage his opportunities and dreams of becoming the largest African-American-owned luxury brand. It was there, in Atlanta, that this owner, visionary, and entrepreneur cemented the Keith James name and the brand's popularity soon illuminated the city. After opening his first brick-and-mortar location on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, he acquired two additional locations – Atlanta (2021) and Las Vegas (2022). Retail giants like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman picked up on his success and have partnered with the brand.As the brand climbed to rapid success, it became immediately clear that James had created something very special. Belts and handbags soon followed, expanding the brand and its success. The expansion and growth of the brand brings us to the present day, where James plans to add more styles, additional accessories, and heighten his brand to the Global fashion market. Taking this vision to the runways of High Fashion, opening brick-and-mortar stores in New York, Paris, and London, as well as being known as a representative of diversity and community, are all a part of the plans in place. The result is sure to be a global success!
