The Maine Conservation Corps was established by Maine's governor and legislature in 1983 and since then has recruited and placed hundreds of members who have accomplished countless natural resource projects all over Maine.Since 1993 the MCC has supported the goals of AmeriCorps with our members Getting Things Done, Strengthening Communities, Encouraging Responsibility, and Expanding Opportunities by accomplishing the following:Constructing and maintaining sustainable trails on state, federal and public lands.Working on community conservation and environmental service projects.Building relationships and serving with community partners.Developing the values of citizenship, civic engagement, and personal responsibility.Studying natural and environmental sciences and ecological and conservation issues.Teaching environmental and conservation education in schools and in the community.Recruiting and managing hundreds of volunteers to support projects that improve and impact trails, watersheds, air quality, and service opportunities for Maine's youth.Enhancing personal development through job skills training, team building, service learning and modeling an ethic of service to the community.

EcoQuest provides Research and Consulting Environmental Services, specializing in marine environments.   We undertake a wide range of work including:• Biological studies of flora and fauna in marine and terrestrial environments• Special Environmental Studies and Ecological Assessments• Environmental Impact Studies• Species and habitat management and monitoring studies• Management Plans and Monitoring Programs• Biodiversity studies of terrestrial and marine organisms• Application of ecological indicators to assess the state of ecosystems (BENTIX, AMBI),• Studies to estimate the distribution of Posidonia meadows (Posidonia Oceanica) using telescopic and underwater sampling methods by diving,• Studies of habitats of marine organisms using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and telescopic methods.   We specialize in marine environments, with many years of international experience in data collection, as well as the protection of marine organisms from human activities that generate underwater noise (port works, installation of wind turbines, laying of submarine cables, seismic surveys, hydrocarbon extraction, construction and expansion of ports, etc.). Our studies meet the specifications of international conventions and directives (ACCOBAMS, JNCC, BOEM), and in addition we undertake baseline, ecological status and impact studies for construction projects in coastal and offshore areas (ports, seismic surveys, mining)   At EcoQuest we apply modern methods and use the latest generation technologies (ROV, Big data management, Machine learning and Ecological models) for the most efficient and fast data collection for the preparation of studies, forecasting, management and protection of the environment.
