Cooperative Energy and these 11 distribution systems, collectively known as the Power of 12, provide power to more than 445,000 homes and businesses across the state, serving more than 1 million Mississippians.The distribution systems are connected to our generation sources by 1,812 miles of high-voltage transmission lines. Cooperative Energy generates electricity with a diverse mix of coal, natural gas, solar and nuclear resources. Cooperative Energy serves as the only not-for-profit wholesale electric power provider headquartered in Mississippi.
