The CFL is a proudly Canadian professional football league played in nine major cities across the country. In 2012, the CFL celebrated the 100th playing of the Grey Cup, its championship game and Canada's largest single day sporting event, with thousands attending in person and millions more watching on TV each year. In 2013, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers opened a brand new state-of-the-art stadium, while in 2014, new stadiums will open in Hamilton and Ottawa, as the league expands to nine teams and CFL football returns to the nation's capital. The 2014 season also kicks off the first year of a comprehensive broadcast deal with TSN and RDS that will transform the economics of the league and its teams. These major initiatives and accomplishments combined with having the most passionate and loyal fans in professional sports, positions the CFL for a very bright future.
