Founded in 2008, the QCCS Mackay Cutters are a feeder club to the North Queensland Cowboys and play in the QRL. We have teams that play in the Intrust Super Cup, Hastings Deering U20s, and Mal Meninga Cup U18s competitions. We take a whole of game approach to the development of Rugby league in Mackay, providing Cutters Academy groups in boys teams, ages U13s, 14s, 15s, and 16s in and girls teams 14s and 16s. Our Football Program staff are top class trained and educated persons in their fields and strive to ensure that they develop the players with up to date technology and training techniques. The Mackay Cutters Rugby League Football club is a dynamic and progressive club that understands the need to maintain and create strong corporate and community relationships. This attitude and determination to support our sponsors and community is vital to the success of a club that has been a pillar within the Mackay regional community since our inception. The club has created and developed "Cutters Care" & "Cutters Corporate". This are Face to Face sessions that are delivered in schools and in the work place, discussing healthy lifestyle and coping mechanisms for everyday life for school students, and business professionals. The QCCS Mackay Cutters has also developed the, "Change the game" initiative tackling mental health head on. We understand our profile in the community and our ability to speak on mental health to large number of persons. Through the initiative we encourage people to seek help and speak to professionals. This initiative allows the Cutters to direct persons, who are experiencing mental health problems, to mental health professionals, that we have developed relationships with through our profile. The QCCS Mackay Cutters strives to assist the Mackay Region not in the development of local Rugby League talent but also develop and assist the community across the board.
