Trenton is New Jersey's capital city of approximately 85,000 residents that is governed under the Faulkner Act (Mayor-Council) system of municipal government, by a Mayor and seven-member City Council. Its government is comprised of 10 departments, divisions and bureaus and approximately 1,200 employees, and has an annual budget of $263 million. Trenton is located in Central New Jersey, about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia.
