Established on July 15, 2019, Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) aims to make Turkey a brand and center of attraction in the domestic and foreign tourism market, to discover, develop and promote tangible and intangible natural, cultural, biological and human-made heritage, It continues its efforts to increase Turkey's tourism capacity and the share of tourism investments in the country's economy and service quality through short, medium and long-term communication/marketing activities. In line with the tourism strategies and policies determined by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Agency will carry out all promotional/marketing/communication activities regarding Turkey's achievement of its tourism goals, the promotion and marketing of existing tourism opportunities worldwide, and the discovery, development and acquisition of potential tourism opportunities. The Agency is the relevant organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is subject to the provisions of private law. The decision-making body of the agency, which consists of Management, Executive and Advisory Boards, is the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of 15 people, chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey. The Executive Board, which is the executive body, includes 5 people, including the General Director of Promotion and 3 people selected by the minister from among the Members of the Board of Directors, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister responsible for the General Directorate of Promotion. The Board of Directors of Turkey Promotion and Development Agency, which consists of a team that has gained considerable experience and has a say in both domestic and international tourism, carries out all its activities to contribute and reinforce Turkey's targeted position in the international market, to make Turkey a spoken word worldwide. It will continue to support its development as a brand, to increase the number of tourists hosted by Turkey and its profitability, to facilitate the implementation of potential investment projects for the tourism sector and to contribute to the development of cities.
