Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) can trace its roots back to 1835, when Henderson William Brand, chef to the British royal family, concocted a special chicken soup to nourish the health of King George IV. That soup became the famous Essence of Chicken health supplement, which remains our signature product today.Essence of Chicken has been manufactured in Thailand since 1974, when the first factory opened in Nonthaburi Province. In 1990, BRAND'S became part of the Suntory Group, which invested heavily in manufacturing technology and brought its own 100-year history of innovating new beverage, food and health products, and bringing them successfully to market.Thailand is now the regional production center for not only Essence of Chicken, but also other health products in the BRAND'S Suntory portfolio, including Bird's Nest and Veta/InnerShine. Currently, 350 million bottles are produced annually for export to 19 countries. Our Bangkok headquarters and three modern factories in Chonburi Province employ a total of 1,500 people locally.Our contribution does not stop there, however.
