RPA is a premier tertiary and quaternary referral hospital, recognised as a leader in healthcare excellence and innovation in Australia. A key hospital of Sydney Local Health District, RPA serves its local community and patients from across NSW, Australia and internationally. RPA celebrated 140 years in September 2022. Since its foundation, the staff at RPA have pioneered innovative techniques, treatments and complex interventions, including Australia's first aortic valve replacement, first liver transplant and first nuclear medicine department.
