Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMG), located at Hansalpur Village of Ahmedabad (Gujarat) is the wholly owned subsidiary of Maruti Suzuki India Limited. SMG has been engaged in the business of motor vehicles manufacturing since February 2017. SMG currently consists of four plants - three car plants have capacity of manufacturing 7,50,000 cars while the powertrain plant has an annual capacity of producing 500,000 engines and 500,000 powertrains.With the completion of the fourth car plant, the annual production capacity will increase to 10,00,000 (one million). The production of battery electric vehicles for MSIL will also be undertaken from this plant which is expected to start in FY 2024-25. At present, our plant manufactures some of the popular models like Swift, Baleno, Dzire and Fronx.
