The largest city in Connecticut, Bridgeport is a distressed urban area facing multiple challenges including poverty, unemployment, underfunded schools, deteriorating neighborhoods, and business stagnation. A good job provides multiple cascading advantages and effects: it helps families become economically self-sufficient and helps break the cycle of poverty for generations to come. Joining job creation to the goal of reaching environmentally sustainability in our community will support the financial stability of our families and neighborhoods.
