Wote Initiative for Development Empowerment (WIDE) is a not-for-profit, organization based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It became legally registered on 23rd January 2018, under the Non-governmental organization Act, 2002 of the Laws of Tanzania under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Children and Elderly awarded with the certificate of registration number 00NGO/0009480. The organization's main focus on four main sectors; Capacity Building, Health promotion, Gender Equality, and Community Economic Development and Empowerment. WIDE mission; "Support women, children, and youth in attaining good agricultural husbandry, better education, good health services, and equality through education, empowerment, and support by participatory approach." The organization implements its programs through Advocacy, service delivery, and Capacity Building. WIDE strives to achieve an "economically stable, healthy, just, and well-educated community within a conducive environment."WIDE value; Innovation: Being dynamic and innovative in promoting solutions that address the needs of women, children and youth, and the community at large.Accountability: Being accountable in all our undertakings to our partners and stakeholders in the communities in which we build relationships.Cost-Effective: Being cost-conscious and ensuring that our work adds value to the community that we serve sustainably.Diversity: Being humble to and acknowledging the diversity of culture and ideas while upholding our philosophy of respect for the equality of human beings and their rights to economic political social and cultural freedom.
