For the twenty five years the Museum comfortably occupied a room in the Old Oakhurst School. The members of the Museum welcome this opportunity for you become more familiar with our programs, projects and plans for the future. In 2005, we were offered the opportunity to save the historic Eden Woolley House, requiring the move of the house from its former location, some 1,000 feet to its new location in front of the Ocean Township Library. After several years of working on the structure and converting it from a residence to a Museum, the House was opened as the Township of Ocean Historical Museum in 2009.The membership has grown from the small nucleus of people who organized and opened the Museum to almost 600 Most of the founding members continue to be actively involved in the day to day operations of the organization.This totally volunteer group operates all of the many programs and projects that we sponsor.
