The Namaste Foundation is a registered non-profit under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. Founded in 2011 with a vision to create an organisation to foster positive social change through social innovation. Committed to advancing positive social change, the Foundation seeks to provide opportunities for sustained meaningful change, by raising awareness and by examining social value propositions to identify transformative benefits.Its multi cause approach, addressing humanitarian, environmental and animal welfare issues, is based on an understanding that many of the social issues / social ills of our ecosystem are interconnected andthus in addressing them, a holistic approach is required.The founding objectives of The Namaste Foundation are to assist in the mobilisation of persons and resources to aid:•People and communities suffering from the debilitating effects of poverty;•In the promotion of education as an opportunity for advancement in life;•Underprivileged children and orphans who are denied basic human rights;•Patients and relatives of those who require assistance for costly medical treatments;•Religious organisations, who rely on charitable support, in their mission of imparting spiritual instruction in the local communities; and•Charitable organisations and volunteers working towards protecting the welfare of animals and the environment.
