Founded in 2018, Steve Schmidt Memorial Scholarship, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.The family and friends of Steve Schmidt, a 1975 graduate of Dansville Schools have established a scholarship in the memory of this amazing man. Steve made a difference in everything he did. Whether it was helping them with a project of some sort, answering a question of faith or just being a listening ear, Steve was always looking to be your guy. A man of vision, Steve was able to use his hands to craft beautiful works of art from wood, much of which can be found throughout the halls of these schools. A wonderful husband, father and friend, Steve is dearly missed, but his family & friends are dedicated to continuing his work of helping others. The intent of this memorial is to honor Steve's life by awarding a scholarship to one Dansville High School graduating senior that is passionate about a skilled trade and is planning to pursue a vocational training program.
