Currently, the school is open to year groups EYFS 1 through to Year 11 with over 800 children joining from all parts of the globe, representing over 70 nationalities, 65 teachers, and 120 school staff under one roof. The school will offer a wide range of qualifications to suit all interests and capabilities as it grows. These qualifications will include GCSEs, iGCSEs and BTEC's, with subjects such as English Literature, Physical Education, Art, History, Geography, Business Studies and many more. In the 2023-2024 academic year the school will launch Sixth form offering A-Level and BTEC qualifications for Year 12 students. As a school Star Mirdif prides itself on preparing children for the world of tomorrow. As such we embrace the responsible use of technology within the classroom. We have a highly successful BYOD policy which supports our status as a Google for Education school. Technology is ever increasing in its importance within the wider world and our students are known for their highly developed levels of digital literacy. However, as a school we also believe strongly that technology should only be used where it enhances the learning within the classroom. So whilst school has embedded artificial intelligence into our curriculum, and invested in STEAM+ to allow for advanced robotics and 3D printing, we are still developing our students skills away from technology. With this the school has also embedded the UN Sustainable Development goals into our curriculum so that we have an emphasis on how students can develop their understanding of sustainability and impact the world beyond their classrooms. This means considering the impact technology has on the environment and being mindful of the way we support the world we live within.
