Single Mothers' Sisterhood is a nonprofit organization supporting single mothers' mental and physical health through online 30-minute self-care classes which include yoga, meditation and talk in small groups. We provide opportunities for single mothers to have time to take care of their physical and mental health, and to empower each other by interacting with other single moms across the region.We also offer opportunities to learn and train to make their future better. We offer training courses for single mothers to obtain ICT skills, leadership, presentation, public speaking and team-building experience so that they can make living with their authenticity. We also offer classes to obtain life skills such as money literacy, parenting and nonviolent communication.
The final step of our empowerment is contribution. The single mother who was on the side of receiving support now turns to the side of supporting someone. The alumni of the course are given the opportunity to become mentors or supporters of the new participants and the staff members of the fundraising campaign we hold every year to raise awareness of the diversity of families. By empowering and improving their quality of life with these three steps, single mothers, who are still subject to discrimination and negative stigma, will be able to live proudly and will be recognized as contributors to the community.
