Rilke Schule, Inc. provides facilities and capital investment for the Rilke Schule German School of Arts and Sciences, which is a public charter school administered through the Anchorage School District. Our mission addresses one of the largest challenges that charter schools face in the Municipality of Anchorage; the lack of funding for facilities. Charter schools receive .55 cents for every $1.00 that a neighborhood school receives, and have to provide for their own facilities. A charter school cannot hold real property directly, so RSI was formed to address the large disparity between public neighborhood schools and this public charter school.
