This Label was created in the end of 2009, by Vitor Fernandes and Rafi Levin. QLR launched after 2 years of Electronic music Production & Band Recording´s at various studios, the time to release some music was getting near, so these two fellah´s decided to create Quartz Lock Records.This all started in Amsterdam, with its multiculturality and its rich entertainment industry. During the year there is a massive amount of events, conferences & festivals, like Amsterdam Dance Event, 5 Days off etc… The city itself is a very inspirational background or base to have as an artist.The ConceptQuartz Lock Records has an idea behind its name. Now a days with Cd players the average music listener or even a newbie Dj won´t notice the mechanism of the old Turntables, that used to stabilize their plate´s due to a small quartz crystal whose objective is to keep this motor steady. Quartz Lock will be the major label, and other sub label names like Quartz Progressive Records and Quartz Psy Records will eventually follow.
