Native elders are our precious grandparents and parents. They are the holders of our cultural traditions and are deeply important to our community. They are also a resource of traditional knowledge and practices which demonstrate how to live properly in harmony with nature. During a crisis like COVID-19, all elders deserve proper support, but in this case, there is something vital to understand. Indigenous elders hold in their memory multi-generational wisdom and practices that are incredibly valuable in our collective journey to reverse climate change.
