The mission of the Postgraduate Medicine Community Outreach Program, a new 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization, is to foster successful collaborations through an innovative mentoring program that benefits experienced physicians, residents and underprivileged students. Our goals are to enrich the lives of underprivileged youths through a meaningful mentoring program in a healthcare setting; and to advance the scholarly research and publication record for physician residents in a highly-regarded medical journal.The Postgraduate Medicine Community Outreach Program objectives: to support the advancement of medical research and community service initiatives of physicians and residents, and to broaden an enhance underprivileged student interest, involvement and access to the medical field.
