During the COVID lockdown social distancing left me feeling the impact of not being able to meet with friends, colleagues and clients over a cup of coffee. The exchange of learning, ideas and thoughts at the meetings makes up a lot of what I do. Not only is it necessary for my business but I thrive on it and missed both the cognitive and social interaction. So I made a plan and established my own virtual café, the Performance Café. Here we can meet via posts, comments, videos, whatever format works for us, to chat about performance in all its forms. This could be about reaching our personal potential, about assisting employees and teams with their performance and productivity or even looking at business performance based on individual performance. As this is meant as a channel for conversation I hope that you will join in by asking questions, posting your thoughts and comments, or even suggesting topics that I can cover. One rule for joining in the journey is that Performance Café is a place that looks at reality through the filter of optimism. I believe that if we apply enough thinking and energy we will solve problems. I want to create a space where conversations lead to engaged employees, thriving businesses and happy customers. I hope that you are excited by taking this journey with me. Remember, I will not have all the answers but I will try and find someone who does. In the words of Ralph Marston "Dare to dream big dreams. For those are the dreams that have the power to push your whole world forward."
