The Paso Del Norte Borderplex Veteran Coalition is a El Paso, Texas based 501(c)(3) with a mission to unite the community to accelerate the impact of Veterans on the Paso Del Norte Region. The vision is to bridge the gaps between numerous Veteran Organizations, and Government Agencies to ensure that no Veteran, Transitioning Service Member, or Family Member Falls through the gaps in access to resources. Our goals include: 1) Increase the number of Veterans relocating to the Paso Del Norte Region to make an immediate impact on the Economic Development of the Region. (Median income for Texas Veterans according to the United States Census Bureau is $66,000.00. The median income for El Paso is $44,000.00. A potential $22,000.00 immediate economic impact for the region) 2) Increase the number and impact of Employers in the Paso Del Norte Region by providing a workforce (Veterans and family members) that have the essential skills employers seek (Attention to Detail, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Dependability, Adaptability, etc.) 3) Increase the number of Veterans and family members enrolled in Higher Education Facilities in the Paso Del Norte Region and keep these Student Veterans in the region upon graduation 4) Increase the number of Veterans and family member entrepreneurs in the Paso Del Norte Region in coordination with the SBA and local Chamber of Commerce 5) Build a Veteran Coalition for the Paso Del Norte Borderplex Region that promotes the rich history and heritage of the region and looks forward building a bridge for the Transitioning Service Member where no Veteran or family member falls through the cracks 6) Assist the Paso Del Norte Region businesses, community partners, and Veteran Service Organizations in bridging health, education, welfare, employment, and quality of life services for Veterans and their families.
