Pakistan Pattern Recognition Society (PPRS) is the Pakistani chapter of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), which is an international association of scientific and professional organizations concerned with pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and image processing in a broad sense. The IAPR aims to promote these fields, to advance international co-operation, and to stimulate research, development, and the application of these state of the art technologies across a wide variety of disciplines. PPRS is bringing together Pakistani experts from various theoretical and application domains of pattern recognition and artificial intelligence to highlight recent research in this fascinating area and discuss possible future directions and collaborations. A particular emphasis is placed on stimulating activities related to pattern recognition and artificial intelligence in Pakistan to strengthen and grow the local community.
