The Net-Zero Industries Mission (NIM) is a collaboration across countries, government, and industry to drive and accelerate the adoption of decarbonisation technologies by the hard to abate, energy intensive industries. Whether it be iron and steelmaking, production of cement and lime, the chemicals and refining industry, or other associated energy intensive industries like aluminium and alumina, decarbonisation requires multiple technical solutions, and a new way of supporting these industries in the investments and risks they must undertake if they are to meet the targets society demands for 2030 and 2050 in achieving net zero.
