Minerva is a student-led program that promotes personal finance classes as a key instrument for a modern educational model. Minerva is based out of Boston University and works in conjunction with other BU projects to serve the greater Boston community. So far, Minerva has reviewed financial literacy research, Massachusetts education reports, and proposed bills in the field of financial literacy. Recently, Minerva has expanded its membership to include a comprehensive research team, an expansive outreach team, and a dynamic leadership style. Minerva will, by 2023, establish after-school programs to serve the greater Boston area with free financial literacy courses. Such classes will primarily serve schools that have historically not had access to comprehensive after-school programs.Minerva represents a modern form of student advocacy that embraces large-scale projects.
