At Make Time, we do everything from fine art, to sewing (and crafts), to coding on micro-controllers (micro:bit and Arduino), to 3D printing in resin (DLP printing) and plastic (FDM printing PLA). Almost 100% of our activities are created by me (Mr. B). I try really hard to purchase new technologies, learn about them and test them out with our kids. There are so many "STEM" toys and kits these days it can be difficult to separate the garbage from the effective tools for learning. We've run a summer program that has doubled each year serving nearly 300 kids last summer. I believe our success is in large part because we've made good decisions about which technologies to invest time and energy into. We are currently in the process of converting to a non-profit model. COVID19 has provided us the opportunity to focus more on virtual offerings. We've created a new site called Make Time Academy that offers digital versions of courses we have in the "brick and mortar" space.
