LU(EA)F is a non-profit charity organization delivering clean efficient and affordable energy generation, distribution and financing solutions.Most rural areas in Kenya use kerosene lamps to light up their houses at night. Kerosene lamps are expensive, inefficient, unhealthy and dangerous to the users. Our project is aimed at providing our solar lanterns and solar systems to remote rural areas.77% of the population in Kenya has no electricity, and rely on kerosene for their lighting needs. Not to mention, a sizeable segment of Kenya's population will not have access to the grid in their lifetime.Kenya, being one of the world's most solar rich countries, has the potential to scale up the adoption of solar lanterns which will benefit millions of Kenyan households.In accordance with this belief LU(EA)F recently launched a solar lantern initiative which offers hope for a brighter future in rural and urban communities in Kenya.
