We do this because Uruguay is 6th out of 142 countries in the top World Environmental Ranking. This was determined in a study by both Yale and Columbia University. They have one of the largest clean water supplies in the world, the same water that our cattle drink. Uruguay's production system is based on native pastures with mixed grazing of cattle and sheep. This is done in the open with no confinement and in total harmony with the environment. They maintain biodiversity of the flora and fauna. All of this contributes to a sustainable system of production, protecting both the environment and our food.
