Itiner is a name of a project and at the same time a name of a startup company, founded by Jacek Jelonek, working for the Institute of Computing Science at Poznan University of Technology. The primary product of Itiner company is an application for mobile phones, which provides travellers with public transportation timetables. Thanks to the cooperation with the Institute of Computing Science at PUT and the Poznan city transportation company, a possibility to provide travellers with real waiting times for busses and trams is currently being tested. The imminent plans for the development of the application are to prepare timetables for other cities, to supplement it with a journey planner and to finalize the application for blind people.
