AboutInternews Kosova is a Not-for-Profit Non Governmental Organization working in media development and journalism training in Kosovo.Missionmonitoring and identifying problems on three key public services in Kosovo, the Judiciary, Education and Health. Through this, Internews Kosova has identified weaknesses, non-professional behaviors, and corrupt cases in the judiciary, misuse of public authority, corruption in hospitals and bad treatment of patients, illiteracy among primary school students and hundreds of other problems and weaknesses in the three main public services in Kosovo. Internews Kosova in partnership with BIRN, have also provided recommendations in relation with the problems identified and has addressed them in the respective institutions, thus resulting in improvement and change of policies.DescriptionInternews Kosova is a local non-for profit organization which exists to provide support to civil society development in their attempts to the democratization of the society. IKs works in the field of media development projects, monitoring of public services in Kosovo, production of in-depth analytical reports and TV debates on current affairs and developments in Kosovo. Internews Kosova was established in 1999 as part of the Internews international media network. In the previous year's Internews Kosova has carried out a lot of capacity building activities for media development in Kosovo. With the support of international donors, IK has managed to establish a Multimedia Center for training and production, which provided trainings on journalism and technical issues, management and media relations for students, journalists of written media, Radio and TV stations in Kosovo.
