Hyprlift's solution is a next-generation elevator system that will help prevent urban sprawl by reducing the built-environment footprint through sustainable vertical expansion.Unlike traditional elevators that rely on hoist ropes to raise and lower the cab in the shaft, Hyprlift cabs are self-propelled by an onboard dynamic-tractive drive that engages with the shaft's guide rails and propels the cab without the use of ropes. By omitting the ropes, Hyprlift allows multiple cabs to travel within the same shaft, enabling greater transport capacity and shorter wait times to be achieved using fewer shafts.Fewer shafts means new buildings can be designed with narrower cores, thereby reducing the overall built-environment footprint, and existing buildings can re-purpose interior space to accommodate other uses.Untethered by hoist ropes and traveling cables, Hyprlift cabs can travel non-stop to virtually any height, eliminating the need for skylobbies and freeing up more interior building space. No ropes also means no more elevator shutdowns or slowdowns due to windy conditions, as Hyprlift cabs are unaffected by building sway.Energy efficiency is optimized as Hyprlift cabs are designed for minimum mass thereby requiring far less energy to propel than traditional elevator cabs. Hyprlift cabs also use dynamic braking during their descent to regenerate energy that is stored and then used to augment the energy needed for their ascent.Hyprlift cabs are not bound to a single shaft but instead use AI-powered destination dispatching to navigate autonomously throughout the building in multiple shafts. Transfer stations located at the terminal ends of the shafts and at intermediate locations throughout the shafts allow cabs to easily transfer horizontally from shaft-to-shaft.
