BackgroundWith a bachelor's degree in Communications I returned to Loyola University, in New Orleans, to pursue the required courses to take the CPA exam. I attended night classes while working for a New Orleans accounting firm.I value continuing professional education beyond my CPA certification and believe it is important to continuously acquire new skills and knowledge. Annually I take 40 hours of Continuing Education courses on a variety of subjects.As a practicing CPA with over 29 years of experience, I have served on two committees with the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and have participated in many Society-sponsored community service projects. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and its Tax Section, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants.I comply to the strict ethical standards of the profession and participate in the Society of Louisiana CPAs' Peer Review Program which monitors the quality of the service my firm provides.Company HistoryThe firm was founded in 1992. After the New Orleans CPA firm I was employed with was sold to a larger local accounting firm, I decided to open my own practice. My firm is a one-man operation that prides itself on personalized service.
