We are a team of health/fitness professionals who use a team approach to train elite golfers. We believe that a Golfer's Body is his/her most important piece of Equipment. We use an FMS approach to find a golfer's "weakest link" . In this way, the Seven FMS Movement Screens are used to evaluate mobiity and stablilty issues.and to identify assymetries and imbalances .(www.functionalmovement.com ) We believe that the best indication of a future injury...is a previous injury. Thereafter,we provide a written assessment of the test results of the 7 screens..We will then provide a program of corrective exercises to the golfer. We strongly encourage a 3 month commitment to an exercise program because it is difficult to expect favourable results in a shorter time period. If performance golf screens are dictated, some or all golf screens will be performed with a view to identfying swing characteristics . Thereafter a customized program will be designed with the goal of eliminating problematic swing characteristics, developing safe POWER and greater clubhead spped for greater distance and accuracy. In short- better, more enjoyable golf.Our first goal in our approach is to reduce and minimize injuries. We want golfers enjoying their sport as long as possible. Our second goal is to increase performance and shoot lower scores.
