Girls on the Run Vermont (GOTRVT) is an independent, 501(c)(3) council of Girls on the Run International whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. The 10-week program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment, while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Since 1999, GOTRVT has enriched the lives of over 44,000 girls in grades 3-8 through a research-based curriculum and high-quality events that cultivate community spirit. In 2016, GOTRVT served 3,000 girls and families participating in their program at over 160 sites across Vermont.
