GiGA WiRE Alliance is an industry alliance committed to create a future proof interoperable ecosystem for continuous improvement of GiGA WiRE technology. The Alliance is supporting global deployments based on ITU-T compliant G.hn silicon, designed to extend the Ultra-Broadband Access inside Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), from the fiber cabinet to users’ homes, using existing copper/coaxial cable. The Alliance brings together service providers, equipment vendors and silicon vendors working for boosting the speed of any Local Area Network (LAN) Internet services to Multi-Gigabit, by avoiding the need of network infrastructure upgrades and minimizing the cost of the deployment.
