Welcome to GASCA, a collaborative project with an important mission, supported by the Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BiBB) under the Erasmus+ Vocational Training Small Scale Partnership Programme. Our team is dedicated to data protection and privacy compliance, particularly in the accommodation sector. We understand the complexity of processing and managing personal data in this industry and the challenges small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face in complying with GDPR, BDSG, and KVKK regulations.Turkey is an important destination for EU residents, with millions of tourists visiting each year. GASCA's mission also includes measuring the awareness levels of the Turkish accommodation sector when it comes to data protection and privacy compliance from a GDPR perspective.Focusing on data users working in various positions within the accommodation sector, we aim to improve data protection practices by measuring the awareness levels of SMEs in the industry, developing tailored training courses to raise awareness among data users, and preparing assessment reports to analyze and compare the situation in both Germany and Turkey.Our vision is to foster data protection awareness and empower organizations to better manage personal data in the accommodation sector.
