Having as a dominant ideology that the theater is a factory and the artists are its workers, the interdisciplinary artistic group Fabrica Athens, was established as an independent team of young artists. Since 2011 (fabricart) Fabrica Athens studies the contemporary theater and explores the new forms of performing arts – physical theater, installation, urban / public actions, allowing to its own artistic vision to be exposed to the public.Essentially, it is an artistic open and free utopia, challenging art to study new arising crises, appreciating the collective and individual existence within each era and society.In September 2013 Fabrica Athens creates the Artspace Fabrica. In the heart of Keramikos, in the center of Athens, a new space welcomes you daily from early morning until late at night. The initiators of the entire project created from scratch a site based exclusively on the idea of handmade and recyclable, whose furniture reminiscent of modern art.Artspace Fabrica consists of three stages. At the basement there is located the handmade theater of the company. At the ground floor a cozy space is waiting for you, made by recycled materials.This space is used as a cafe-bar, foyer, while in the meantime it accommodates musical performances, happenings inspired by the art of acrobats and circus, art and photo exhibitions, films and documentaries, among other things. The attic, being more isolated, serves as a reading room and as an exhibition space, as well as for video art projections."It is our need to create, our unique momentum."
