We specialise in conducting robust bird monitoring projects that are generally used as outcome monitoring for pest control management programmes. Currently we conduct a number of ongoing projects for BOPRC, Trust Organisations, Care Groups and Private Companies across the Bay of Plenty.Our personnel have extensive experience in management of longditudinal bird monitoring projects with robust scientific methodologies. This includes methodology selection, project set up, conducting fieldwork, data analysis and reporting. We also conduct bird recognition training seminars and formal results presentations. Ongoing and completed projects include Small Bird Monitoring at Ohope Scenic Reserve, Small Bird Monitoring at Kohi Point Scenic Reserve, Small Bird Monitoring at Mokorua Bush Scenic Reserve, Small Bird Monitoring at Putauaki, the Kokako Census at Otanewainuku Forest and management of the Tikitapu Scenic Reserve bird monitoring project.As well as conducting projects we also work with Care Groups to train their members to conduct bird monitoring fieldwork for outcome monitoring projects.Although bird monitoring projects are our main focus we also conduct other environmental monitoring projects on a regular basis, such as FBI (Foliar Browse Index) monitoring, species census projects, such as the 2013 Otanewainuku Forest Kokako Survey, fauna surveys and other general ecological monitoring.If you would like to know more about a specific project we conduct or how we may be able to help your organisation initiate such a project please contact our Senior Consultant and Projects Manager, Conor Quinn on 027 4477131
