Dropkick Math provides programming aimed at closing gaps in students' understanding of key essential concepts in mathematics, as well as, developing problem-solving strategies and building confidence for perseverance with mathematical problems. Our team of math therapists works with both students and parents to build capacity and understanding of key math concepts that have proven to be barriers to conceptual understanding in math. The parent/child partnership promotes sustainability and further retention. Through our 4 Pillars of Math framework we identify which key math concepts a student is struggling with and work to improve their conceptual understanding of that concept, allowing that student to then move forward with an improved ability for more complex math concepts.Students begin by taking our early indicators assessment which allows us to better understand where their areas of need are the greatest and then our staff of certified OCT teachers works with them to close the gaps in their understanding and get them on their way to enjoying math as a subject rather than struggling through it each day.
