Dashdash is an instant messaging service where users can see that their friends are chatting, but not what they're saying unless they join those conversations. It's built on top of XMPP/Jabber, so it works with existing chat clients such as Adium (pictured above), iChat/Messages, Pidgin, and IM+.People throw parties, attend conferences, and work together in offices because we find value in conversations with small, ad hoc social groups, yet no existing service allows for conversations that are both private and discoverable. Dashdash is designed to fill this real-world need when the people we wan't to talk with can't be where we are.
