Darque Wear creates Culture Conscious Clothing and Accessories to promote appreciation and self love of one's level of melanin.Colorism is a global epidemic in which individuals with higher levels of melanin tend to be the most marginalized. We are teaching our children that dark (darque) is more than the skin color it's a state of mind. It's knowing that the color of your skin is limitless, in a world of limitations it represents the knowledge of your possibilities. Darque represents the understanding of where you come from and where you are going in spite of the presuppositions about your shade. Darque is a statement of empowerment to rise above the limitations imposed upon our skin color. Ultimately, our goal is to promote self love and thus combat the effects of colorism.
