The Connecticut China Council is a nonprofit corporation that was formed in 1989 to administer CT's sister-state relationship with Shandong Province in China. Since then, it has expanded to serve as a venue for Connecticut companies doing business with China, whether through exporting, importing, or foreign direct investment. The Council is dedicated to strong commercial, educational, and diplomatic cooperation between China, particularly its sister state of Shandong Province, and the United States. The Council sponsors educational and informational programs on China and hosts diplomatic, educational, and business trade delegations from Shandong Province. It has also organized CT delegations to China and Shandong Province.
